The journey begins with a Tour at Organic Farm where you can gain knowledge about the different plants we grow, then visit to a traditional Balinese house, where you can see the architecture and the daily life of the Balinese locals, known for their activities. Then, you will have the experience of Team Up with Locals: Preparing Balinese dinner together. Next is the much-awaited experience of enjoying the meal you have prepared yourself, accompanied by the rare and amazing experience of witnessing the beauty of fireflies’ light in the open nature
Every village in Bali consists of several family groups. To distinguish each family, Balinese people build walls around the house as boundary areas, known as “penyengker.” The positioning of Balinese houses is based on the cardinal points, with reference from the mountains to the sea. The various parts of a Balinese house include Angkul-Angkul, Aling-Aling, Pura Keluarga, Bale Meten, Bale Dangin, Jineng, and Pawaregan.
Traditional Balinese cuisine is a unique blend of flavors, aromas, and culture that has been passed down from generation to generation. Each Balinese dish tells its own story, reflecting the richness of local ingredients such as Bali’s typical spices like candlenut, galangal, and aromatic ginger, which give this cuisine its distinctive characteristics. Some of the dishes that will be learned include Nasi Goreng (fried rice), Sate (skewers), and Godoh (banana fritters).
Fireflies are unique insects because of their ability to produce light. During the day, fireflies sleep on dry wood bark and only come out at night. The phenomenon of light emission from fireflies is the result of a chemical reaction called chemiluminescence.
