We offer a special and educational experience that allows you to explore the real life of Bali’s rural residents. You will visit original Balinese houses, see how they carry out activities, and discover the various meanings of Balinese traditional houses. Learn about and experience the traditional farming system in Bali, such as learning how to plant rice and farm organically using ancient tools. One of the best parts of our experience is preparing and enjoying authentic Balinese food for dinner, surrounded by the magical light of fireflies which is a truly rare sight. Our friendly instructors will take you through the beautiful terraced rice fields of Bali, where you will learn the secrets of sustainable farming and environmentally friendly practices that have been used for generations. Please choose, we have two experience options
The journey begins with a tour of an organic farm to learn about sustainable farming, then visit to a traditional Balinese house, where you can see the architecture and the daily life of the Balinese locals. Then, you will have the experience preparing dinner with local people, where you will have opportunity to make your dinner with the help from local people. Next is the much-awaited experience of enjoying the meal you have prepared yourself, accompanied by the rare and amazing experience of witnessing the beauty of fireflies’ light in the open nature.
The journey begins with a tour of an organic farm to learn about sustainable farming practices and observe how Balinese farmers plow rice fields using traditional tools with the help of a cow. You will also have the opportunity to directly participate in the rice planting process. Then, you will have the experience of preparing dinner with local people. Next is the much-awaited experience of enjoying the meal you have prepared yourself, accompanied by the rare and amazing experience of witnessing the beauty of fireflies’ light in the open natural surroundings.

3. What time will the free shuttle arrive in Ubud?
Our driver will meet you at the designated meeting point according to the schedule. Please be ready at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour departure.
- For the “Village Firefly Night Tour” Experience, before 16.15 (shuttle departs at 16.20)
- For the “Farming Firefly Night Tour” Experience, before 16.15 (shuttle departs at 16.20)
4. How long will this activity last?
This activity will last for 3 hours, divided into 3 sessions:
- For the Village Firefly Night Tour, session 1 is visiting a Balinese home (17.30), session 2 is Preparing traditional Balinese dishes with local (18.30), and the last session is enjoying the meal accompanied by the beautiful firefly lights (19.30).
- For the Farming Firefly Night Tour, session 1 is learning traditional Balinese farming (17.30), session 2 is Preparing traditional Balinese dishes with local (18.30), and the last session is enjoying the meal accompanied by the beautiful firefly lights (19.30).
5. Does the food option accommodate vegan and vegetarian diets (or other dietary restrictions)?
